Sprinklers and the Greenhouse
So this needs to be changed imo. I just got the greenhouse and set up hops and grapes inside in 3x3 squares with sprinklers in the middle? Evidently sprinklers don't work in the greenhouse. Don't see why they wouldn't, couldn't, or shouldn't?

Just a guess, is this because you placed the sprinkler and it didn't water the crops immediately? That happens at the start of every day, and the sprinkler must have been placed the day before.

They do work actually. Most of the time people use 116 crop tiles and 4 with iridium sprinklers (+ some on the sides since 4 iridium ones can't cover everything).

Is there some extra step to getting them working in the greenhouse that I'm unaware of, then? Because as I mentioned, I've got two set up. I still need to water the hops and grapes daily by myself. I literally watch the soil underneath them turn dark from my watering can.

Not that I'm aware of. You're sure you put the sprinklers, right ? I mean the hops and grapes kind of hide most of what's behind them so...

Positive. This was how I laid out my hops and grapes prior to building the greenhouse. I can see them in there they're just not working lol

No, you just put the sprinkler and plant the crops around it and it goes on its own. You're using quality sprinklers, right? 3x3.

No I've only been playing the game for a couple of weeks now. And aside from Skyrim I typically don't use mods in games.

Correct. The ones that requires a bar of copper, steel, and refined quartz and waters the 8 adjacent tiles. I never bothered making the first variety that only watered 4 tiles.

Ok, not mod related then. But a quality sprinkler is made out of one gold bar, one iron bar and one refined quartz. No copper.

I really haven't the slightest idea why it wouldn't work, sorry. You place down the (quality) sprinkler, then plant the plants in a 3x3 square around it, then starting on the next morning it should be watered automatically. Never happened to me, and I've never seen someone complain about this either.

A real sprinkler mystery huh. If you are absolutely sure you have crafted and placed the correct sprinkler then my suggestion would be to remove at least one sprinkler and place it again to see if that somehow solves it. If that doesn't work then I don't know. But if they do work outside on the farm then there must be something horribly wrong with your greenhouse (I just don't know what it could be)! o.o
