Clint could be a potential bachelor, given he is still single.
For Clint's creepiness, I suggest watching some of the cutscenes, along with anything Emily related. He is just a hermit, so he's pretty much unable to socialize "normally".
However, I think those things worth pointing out:
+ Avoid Emily when player married her.
+ Pessimistic way of thinking.
+ His definition of "couple"
+ If you own a phone and are female farmer, expect a weird call from him.
I downloaded a mod to overwrite that nasty personality of his. Overall cool dude, but he seriously need some socialization + therapy.
I highly doubt ConcernedApe meant him to come off as an "incel/niceguy" or creepy. He's just an odd dude with (at least how I interpret him and his mannerisms and personality) depression (at least mild.) So combined with how awkward, socially inept, and introverted he is, he just comes off that way, but really isn't.
The game should be a lot more dynamic than that. Clint should have a different series of scripts if you end up marrying Emily.
If Clint actually adjusted how he behaved based on how Emily lives her life, then he'd probably be a lot less disliked.
(And on that token, it would be nice if all the marriagable NPCs where a bit more dynamic. I find it creepy that ALL of them get incredibly flirty as you get to know them better.
I'd much prefer if they were more neutral/platonic by default, but became more "flirty" if, and ONLY if you actually gave them the bouquet).
