What is the secret to Lobsters????

I started off Fall year 1 with 5 crab pods.. along the beach by the repaired bridge. It's now Summer Y2.

I have checked them EVERY DAY since then. I now have 15.. I added 10 more in the actual ocean by the docks they have been there for about 32 in game days.

I have never gotten a single Lobster in almost 3 full seasons roughly 60 days nothing zip, zero, zilch.. I just had to come and check to make 100% sure I am doing all I can. I mean what is the secret 10000 crab pots..?? why is Lobster such ♥♥♥♥ RNG..?

Lobster has only a 4% chance normally. use more pots, get the mariner perk to boost it to a 14% chance and just keep waiting.

Try different spots. Like below Willy's shop or left side of the pier if you haven't yet.

I have a ton of money... I just bought 35 more.. 50 total now and spread them out here and there.. so we will see lol. thanks.

At the risk of getting flamed, I'll ask the obvious question: Are you adding bait to the pots? I know, that's like asking, "Is it plugged in?", but I don't know how new to the game you are.

Yes sir. I keep a chest with bait right next to willys shack I store it there and just take it out to refill them everyday. :)

Some times they seem common, some times rare. I've gone 4-5 seasons without seeing any with 50 pots down, only to have the following season be 50% of the pots every day.
