achievement bug?

i have most of the achievements within stardew valley and if i go into the achievements tab within the game they show up, but they wont show up on steam. for example, i have everyone in stardew at max friend level but i dont even have the clique achievement on steam. is there any way to fix this?

If you're using mods you'll need to get the achievements without mods.

Same. I just made 250k and should have gotten the homesteader achievement, but it didn't unlock. I don't use mods, wasn't playing multiplayer, and was online, so not sure why.

You could try slingshotting a villager so their heart goes down by one, then refriending them.

Or it could be that you haven't found all friend-able NPCs.

I used to play everything offline and noticed Steam didn't register time played or achievements in most of my games.

I haven't heard of this issue before in this game. But my friend SAM told me about some apps that you click in achivements. This is very usefull for when you're playing a game where the achivements are bugged. But for the community -> don't cheat to thing you didn't achieve.

do you open stardew through steam? if you don't, that might be the issue

Nothing you can do about playtime, but achievements for most games should still track and will update once you open Steam. I got a bunch of cheevos in several games when I had a period of no internet and they all synced up fine once I finally connected again.

i'll try slingshotting some villagers, but that also doesnt explain some of my other missing ones, such as the "Ol' Mariner" achievement achieved by catching 24(?) fish, i also have the achieve 10 hearts with 8 villagers achievement so it's not that i haven't friended them all. i presume they'd be fixed by just starting a new save file, but considering i have about 200 hours in this one that seems farfetched for me haha

in total im missing Ol' Mariner, Cliques, and Master of the Five Ways. i have definitely caught over 24 fish seeing as i just have one left to catch, i definitely have cliques as i have max friendship with all the villagers, and i have master of the five ways because...all my skills are maxed lol

I have almost all of the achievements due to playing for so long on the basic game. But when I started playing with my friend Erron I have installed a handful of simple mods for both me and him.

To my surprise he has been receiving the Steam achievements when they were completed while the mods were active. I intentionally kept an eye on them to see how what will happen.

The mods that we have installed are not affecting the achievements. They are just quality of life mods from Nexus mods/Vortex like:
*Better ranching
*Experience bars
*NPC map locations

So you are able to play the game on PC with, at the very least, some mods that will not affect the achievements.

On the topic of why they are not working for you I do not know what to say unfortunately.
The only thing I can recommend is to raise a ticket with both Steam and the Stardew Valley developer and explain your issue. It might be an annoying bug that hopefully will get fixed either intentionally or by accident at the next patch release.

You can get Steam achievements while playing with mods but since you are loading your game with Smapi you need to load Smapi trough Steam.

I looked at the article and neither me or my friend have done anything of the sort.
And I can 100% confirm that it does work. I do not know why, but it does.

We installed all the respective mentioned mods through Vortex and we just launch Steam and Vortex. And then just start the game from Vortex. That is it. No copying of code or launching through the Steam app. Just have both applications open and just start the game from Vortex. That is it.

Heck, I have seen the live notifications of my friend getting the achievements as he was getting them in the middle of our sessions on his Steam profile.

The only reason why I have mentioned this is because I know 100% that it is possible. I do not know how or why it works. But I do know from playing Stellaris, that depending on the changes made to the game some mods are Achievement compatible.

Maybe we just got lucky and just picked some mods that are simple enough that still allow achievements. I do not know. But it does work.
But they do work in our instance.
