West Ginger Island fossil bug?

been 40 days and not a single artifact spot in sight for the fossil. what's up?

Artifact spots can be spawn blocked if there's not enough open space for them. Make sure you've got plenty of empty, untilled space available.

Thats an annoying one. Just rng. One thing that affects it is how tilled tiles are blocked from rolling artifact spots

it happened to me but is just bad rng

I clear the land and keep it clear, but don't plant, till, or put anything down on the farmland or beach (the grass is okay) until I get both snake spines. I've never had it take more than a week in multiple playthoughs.
