need help fixing lag

note: i am using mods, but ive already checked how the game is without mods and its equally as laggy.
edit: solved the problem, at least a little bit. apparently i can only play stardew valley without lag when my laptop is plugged in. honestly hilarious

I have the same problem and I have not been able to solve it (it is not because of the mods if you are wondering, without them it also happens)

Try disabling v-sync under the options and check if it does anything.
