how to earn money quickly

I fish in the game and sell items, but I cannot earn much money. Is there a quick method?

My fastest big money method is tea saplings.
They take 2 wild seed packets, 5 fiber, and 5 wood to make a sapling that sells for 500. It's crazy efficient, and a useful vanilla strategy that stays relevant right up to end game.
Getting Caroline up to 2 hearts should be easy to do in a couple weeks with a few gold star vegetables or flowers, so you should be able to spring forward with whatever money-based goals you need.

As a side bonus you'll raise your forage skill a ton when you farm those wild seeds to make the seed packets. And many forage plants are useful as gifts or other things, so it's a worthwhile crop to grow all the time.

Pigs. Let them look into soil and find precious truffles for you. Then turn them into truffle oil. If you build, like, 8-10 deluxe barns with max pigs in all of them, you will be rich as Mayor Lewis will pour all of the town's funds to use them in some "none of our business" and let people enjoy this gourmet flavour.

Seriously speaking, I can make around 100k (without tiring myself collecting all of them) with one barn and 17 truffle oil makers in one in-game week.

As the thousands of people in the comments will tell you, if you can "abuse" "random" then it's not "random." Plenty of people also recommend a weighted martingale for the wheel at the fair which will work with long-term certainty but I don't see people filling their britches about it being an exploit.

Which would cost him 2.35 million (not including materials costs).

Pretty sure this is a guy who can't afford a few rows of Summer seeds. He needs early game strategies for making a few thousand gold.

not that much differnce between telling people to fish for 2 weeks to buy strawberry vs telling them to fish for 2-3 weeks to unlock the bus and get a gold pick.

both are quite opposite to most first time players intuition.
