So since the fortune teller told me I was leading people on by making multiple people fall in love with me and that i would be crushing many people, I've been worried about my hearts with all fo the singles. If i date them all and get everyone to 10 hearts then choose one to marry, will the others treat me differently for getting their hopes so high up? Will I lose hearts or anything like that? Or is everyone just fine with it after I choose and things proeed as normal?

That's what I did, and so far I haven't seen any negative effects like losing hearts. The singles you dated (but didn't choose to marry) continue to act like you're dating them - they have the same flirty lines even after you marry someone different. Maybe it's supposed to do something bad, but in my experience the game just proceeds as normal.
