Adoption glitch?

I have been married to Penny for a while (same sex marriage) and she has asked me twice now if we should adopt, and it's been nearly 2 full seasons, and still no babies. Is anyone else having this issue? It is a glitch or am I just not waiting long enough for the baby to show up. Any info would be great. :)

I finally got it to work after right at the end of the second full season of waiting. Not sure what officially kicks it to work, but it takes a LONG time.

Give her presents every day. You need to have 13/12 hearts and hearts decrease pretty fast with the husband/wife. Had the same with Elliott (gay <3) If one heart decreases during the 2 weeks of the adoption process, its cancelled. When I started to just give him crap every day, they brought me a baby finally lol.

I cant say if this is the way and true, but it makes sense since one of the requirements is 13/12 hearts (when you get the stardrop). And I forgot to give him presents for liek 3 days and he immediately lost a heart... Or Elliott is just strange <3

Pretty sure you can maintain full hearts just by kissing/embracing your wife/husband everyday.

Haven't given Penny a gift (aside from her birthday) in over two years and she stays at max hearts, but i do talk to her/kiss her every morning.

Are you doing the kiss/embrace interaction daily that generates the tiny heart above your spouse? (not just talking to them, approaching them from the side and clicking causing the kiss/embrace)

It almost certainly has to have an effect on their happiness as the first time you do it it shows the tiny heart, if you try it again in the same day the tiny heart doesnt appear.

Agreed - I have maintained 13/12 for a whole year, and I've given her maybe two gifts that whole time. The morning kiss is all you need! Life lessons from the Valley... ;)

Jep of course. Morning routine LOL. First my kiss, then flipping the baby around, then crops :D.

(But maybe the heart-decay thing is a bug from one of my mods. Since it happens TOO FAST.)

Morning routine: get up, talk to baby, talk to waifu, kiss waifu, give waifu gift, go out and check to make sure the sprinklers didn't mess anything up, harvest, EXPLORE. Day done.
But yeah, I did notice that sometimes if I miss one day of gifts, or give someone else in town a gift, she tends to get pissy.

(Random: dont know if the dialogue is still ingame. On my first char I married Sebastian and when I gave Sam a random gift, he was jealous and mad. That was the moment i quit that character :D)

Yeah, I gave Maru a gift because I am trying to gain more friends, and I came home and Penny was mad. "I don't need to worry about you two, do it?"

Gosh. It never happened with Elliott though. But I know there was a huge ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ going on in the stardew forum lol. Being THAT jealous in a freakin game (and even in RL) is just disgusting.

So well,since Penny is the same, I'll take Leah on the next :D
