Do bombs and lobster pots increase mining and fishing skill?
Topic
I'm too lazy for managing loads of lobster pots so don't want to use them if all I'm getting is periwinkles. And I love blowing up rocks but don't want to use bombs if my skillz are stagnating.

What's the deal?

Yes and yes. Crab Pots give 5 exp, and bombs give as much exp as the rocks they destroy.

Confirmed. I trained mining with bombs :-)

Bombs give as much exp as you'd normally get for combat and/or mining. (not sure if they actually work for foraging....(tree-destruction))

Every time you see a "stone" from mining or bombing
You don't actually get exp (although there may be a quota counter with it, and ever like 12-25 stones you get a few exp.. but I dunno. Its hard to say.. I watched one time and had random exp I couldn't explain, but most of the time, stones did diddly.)

Every time you see Copper
You get like.. (of course I can't remember how much) but you get like 3exp per copper piece per vein/stone.
Bust a stone with 1 copper piece, get 3xp
bust a vein and get 4? get 12xp
geodes and coal are exp amounts too, not that I can remember exactly how much, I believe geodes were 20 and coal was 5, But I could easily be mistaken.

Iron was 7 I believe (per piece) and gold was like 12, didn't do this checking when Iridium was really checkable (I did it in the mines, and before the update that made iridium more common in the skull depths)

I was only paying attention to the EXP points of mining, Combat did go up while using them, but I'm not sure of their values.

Bombs will destroy standing spawned items, like quartz and purple mushroom, but typically you can pick those up before the bomb actually explodes

Bombs will not destroy hardwood stumps or logs. (at least, none of the times I've check) nor large rocks (2x2s)
