PAM DISAPPEARED????

She has literally dissappeared completely. I can't find her at all even though I followed her schedule! She's been missing since the start of year 2. Anyone else?

Well, she's not appearing at the bus stop, that's how I noticed she was missing in the first place.

No. It's as if she never existed. The Pam is thirsty quest however stayed.

Dunno how that happens but it's not the first time.
There are ways to get you a new Pam.

So how exactly do I do that? I mean I don't know if editing save files and such will work fine or will more bugs arise.

You've got to include the data for Pam[pastebin.com] at the right location in your save file.
Those are located at %AppData%/StardewValley/Saves

You need the <GameLocation> node with the name Trailer.
There's a node for <characters> there.
If you haven't married Penny she should already be there and you only have to copy Pam above Penny (copying below seems to cause further problems).
Else there should be a empty node <characters />
You'd want to replace it with
<characters>
</characters>
and put the Pam between.

I don't know if Pam will disappear again or if you have any problems in the long run.
There shouldn't be any bugs just because you've put Pam in again.
But who knows...

If you want to do that you should backup your files.

I'd recommend Notepad++ and the XML Tools plugin.
With Alt + Ctrl + Shift + B it will add format to the file which makes it easier to read

It would also be nice if you'd share the savefile since I'd like to take a look but that's up to you.

Apparently, I managed to get Pam back and then few days later she decides to disappear again. So I guess I'll have to keep editing my save files everytime I want to go to the desert.
