I actually taught myself through youtube videos only :P
I modified a free apple pattern from Planet June ( http://www.planetjune.com/blog/free-crochet-patterns/amigurumi-apples/ ). Based from her pattern, I used the stalk/stem part as the arms and legs. The stalk at the top of his head I did a half double crochet to widen it then proceeded as her pattern says. Then added one more chain for the legs so they were slighlty longer.
Like for him to then sell? Lol I'm such a slow crocheter, this one actually took me around 5hrs I think, not including breaks. That'd be cool though, if I could send one to CA for him to keep, I'd make a second one for him
