I've got a question about plants like the eggplant and hot pepper

so, the eggplant takes 5 days to mature, and will continue to produce after that, do i have to water the plant every day for it to still produce?

You can just level up your farming, and be able to craft the quality sprinklers, after that is the iridium sprinkler.

Quite nice, although can be expensive (iron, gold iridium bar-wise) to craft them.

Yeah the quality sprinkler is cheap and effective. Later on you can upgrade to the better sprinkler if you're so inclined, but the quality sprinkler is good enough to never have to water crops again.
