Harvest Moon VS Stardew valley

As a long time fan of the HM games, (seriously, I love ALL of them), I personally think SV is a bit better simply because it is on PC, and the bugs get fixed. We also have a chance of getting new content.

This is the 2nd times thread like this created by 2 different person this day. Regardless, don't compare this to harvest moon. It's like comparing cabbage to carrot, the only same thing are both vegetables.

Stardew Vally. It is just the better one. Not by MILES, only by incrememnts in many cases, but heck, in some cases its much better.

I have to agree with you there.
another thing is how you've got a big inventory space from the beginning, instead of that having to go back to your home to change things small inventory space

Nope. Some series of rune factory are a better comparison. Too much difference between this and HM. Skill tree and combat are among the most obvious difference

Note: forgot to add that both RF and HM are not in pc. So this is a cross platform comparison

Of course rune factory and Animal parade is decent but the rest is garbage imo
There was a farmville ripoff and a minecraft ripoff plus the graphics just doesnt feel right

While yes the skill tree, and apparent combat is a big difference to harvest moon, the core gameplay (taking care of your farm) seems alot like harvest moon to me.

Farmvile ain't a games. It's a grindfest, waitfest, and abomination combined into 1 things. Hell i won't even touch it. Unless you see it from mobile gaming standard of course

Maybe it's just me, or the video. But I didn't see anything wrong with any of the Harvest Moon games shown except for Harvest Moon: Magical Melody (looks like a floaty GC game), I will say I can see the similarities between HM and SV. That being said I think SV has done a better job.

PS. 3x3 seed planting??! Why can't we have that!

SW > 3DS HM. I wish people who like SW give HM a try, but I'm afraid they'll be turned off by the recent 3DS Harvest Moons. They weren't exactly the best imo.

I haven't really bothered with HM since the first DS title.
I had the most fun with the GBA one I think.
If there was a good port of Stardew Valley for a handheld system I own, I would choose it over any of the recent HM titles...
Since there's no real choise on pc it's a clear decision there.
My favorite would be RF4 though.
