Amphora -- grats on finding it! (I'm still looking... ) Where did you find yours?
As for the Amphora, I seem t o always find that when digging worms in Pelican Town (same screen as Pierre's, Saloon etc). Worms are more common in winter since more diggable ground draws the chance to spawn a worm tiles every day, so that may be a good time to look for the Amphora.
Now each day in winter, eat a luck food then use rain totem. Go to bed without touching anything else. Do this for 3 days in a row, and on the 4th day, go for a worm hunt and dig them all. Also get all forage items too, as I think they share a pool. It's important you cover every zone in the game, since I think there is also a fixed world pop, so if some end up stuck in the Oasis, for instance, the amount that can pop elsewhere will go down. So clear the whole world out. Then repeat this every 4 days and you should have 7 batches worth of runs to do for the winter.
Doing this I got one finally on my 3rd run, in town near the saloon.
The save game backup is if you go through all 7 runs and don't get one. Restore your saves and do it all over again, this time only waiting 2 days on the first prep so that you get a new set of RNG rolls.
As for the disk, I got mine fishing in the river south of Leah, I believe, but they are very common drops in the mines. Just buy a ton of mega bombs and bomb everything, especially tillable soil. Remember to buy some miner treats too since you'll probably need to heal yourself from all the explosions.
This is obviously end game activity, I do not suggest either of these for someone who is still playing the game normally.
Now that I think about it, this could actually be the first game where the ingame character drinks more coffee than me IRL.
