It takes several in-game weeks to have a kid. After saying you want a child, nothing happens for awhile. If you're a man and married a woman, she'll tell you she's pregnant about a week or 2 after saying you want a kid. Otherwise your spouse will tell you they filed for adoption. I'm not sure what happens when you're playing as a woman married to a man, I haven't done that in my playthrough.

After getting that message from your spouse, it will be a week or 2 before the child arrives in the house.

If playing as a woman (which I have) after a week or so, your spouse will say something along the lines of, "[charactername], we're going to have a baby soon" to you randomly when talking to them when you first wake up. Then, after a short period after that (which you may get the message a few more times), the child will be born.

its been more than 2 weeks and she said shes pregnant like 2 weeks ago or 1 week ago

I had this problem. I even got dialogue of my spouse saying "Can't you tell? You're pregnant!" a few weeks after selecting yes to having a baby. I waited and waited and no baby appeared, but last night I got another prompt asking if I wanted to have a baby. :( (Playing as a woman)

Only if you're a gay couple. Go to bed (Preferrably before your wife, but not necessarily) and you'll be given a prompt asking if you want a child before the profit screen shows up.

If you marry someone of the same gender as you, you still get the baby question, it's just saying yes leads to adoption instead of pregnancy.

Only if you have a gay marriage. It's the same, you have to wait a few weeks after the wife got pregnant or the spouse made a request for adoption.

I waited well over a season and I thought it was a bit weird that I was asked to have a baby again when the dialogue a few weeks prior said I was already pregnant. /shrug

its the same way, it will say do you want to have one. not unless you mod it in then it might be easier.
