recover trashed items

is there any way to recover items from the trash can? i noticed if i tab out of the game, wherever i click, it also clicks on the game itself. the problem is i realized this after i threw some of my best items away, namely the space boots (or moon boots, can't remember the name, but it has +4 imm and +4 def), and now i'm stuck with some not-so-awesome boots. any way i can recover it?
