Stardew Valley is better than FoMT.

Definitely Stardew Valley, since it's on PC and expands more than the normal Harvest Moon game (plus this game actually makes great use of your controller or mouse if you do use them).

We get it. You like Harvest Moon. You want everyone else to like Harvest Moon more than SDV, and think SDV is intruding on HM's turf. Validation of your position is required. Yippie.

Here's another argument in favor of SDV: People actually make substantive posts about it instead of fishing for validation.

I miss some gameplay aspects that were deliberately left out of Stardew Valley to make it more accessible.

Inconvenient as it was, I liked having to herd my animals back into the barn rather than them just going in at night on their own.

I liked the five p.m. deadline for shipping. It gave urgency to harvest days, and it also meant that the evening was still by necessity available for other things.

I liked experimenting for recipes.

And I miss being able to pick up my damn chickens. Why can't I pick up a chicken?

Extremely tough call there, my friend...

Harvest Moon 64 is one of my favorite games of all time, and by far my favorite HM in the series.

Nah i havent tired after i learned about this game i learned about harvest moon and im trying to figure out what is the best harvest moon to play but im more into the family aspect than the farming like the relationships and this game your wife and child are pretty useless and after i learned about harvest moon i played a wonderful life and animal parade because i found stardew valley boring but i found harvest moon not boring.

That doesn't mean he's lying: he says he's never played a Harvest Moon game in his life ... so maybe he's one of the undead and played the Harvest Moon games only after the end of his mortal existence. That would help explain his fondness for gaming consoles of decades long gone by.

This "rivalry" makes no sense, though. I can't imagine that Stardew Valley's success has done anything but increase the number of people interested in or even aware of the Harvest Moon games (one proud PC-only friend was raving about how groundbreakingly original the game is, and I had to let him down gently), so anyone who enjoys the genre should only be pleased.

So, in the few weeks since this game came out, you purchased a Gameboy Advance, a Nintendo 64, and a Gamecube in order to try the Harvest Moon games on each of those consoles?
