Never feel like you're "stuck" if you haven't talked to everyone first. Any kind of RPG often has triggered events that require you to talk to people.

EVERY. LAST. NPC. Every time.

To be fair the Halloween and Christmas events don't have someone to talk to to end them. Every event before them has had to talk to Lewis or someone else to finish the event, then suddenly they throw you a curve ball.

That doesn't really have anything to do with the advice I gave though, which was specifically "never feel stuck if you haven't at least talked to all people first." I'd extend that further and say you should attempt to hit some kind of action button on anything and everything that seems interesting or a point of focus on a screen before declaring yourself "stuck." Also, try wandering around for a couple of minutes ... in many games, it's a matter of a timed event or pathing over the correct patch of ground. No matter what, there's a way out if you don't just give up and sit on the ground and give in to despair. It's RPG 101. There's a basic troubleshooting checklist you can go through that only takes a couple of minutes to try to escape a confusing event like that, and talking to all NPCs is at the top of the list.

In fact, if you've just done a major game event and *DIDN'T* talk to all NPCs automatically as a matter of instinct before even TRYING to leave, it's a good indicator that you need to adjust your instincts. It's a habit you should adopt fast if you want to play games like this. It's always a good idea. Impatience isn't well-suited for RPGs, or sims, or hybrids. :-p

Also, the original poster was confused over the Flower Dance, which comes well before either Halloween or Christmas.
