What are the estimated ages of the villagers?
So what are the ages of all the villagers?

I've always seen them as:
Abigail, Haley, Sebastian, Penny, Maru, Alex and Sam as 19-24 years old.
Leah, Elliott, Shane, Harvey, Sandy and Emily as 28-35 years old.
Clint, Caroline, Robin, Willy, Marnie, Demetrius, Kent, Jodi, Gus, Pierre, and Pam as 40+ years old.
George, Linus, Lewis, Evelyn and The Wizard as 55+ years old.
The Farmer (player) has always been roughly 25 years old to me.

What do you think, how do you see their ages?

I like the fact that it's unclear what their ages are.

I'd say they're collectively between the ages of 6 and 100.

I want to know if it's socially acceptable for me to be creeping on Marnie and Haley <_<

In terms of age impressions, based on dialogues, I'd probably generally agree with what the OP said. Except I tend to see Marnie/Clint as being in their early to mid 50's for some reason. Probably because they remind me a bit of some people I know irl.

George and his wife are 65+, possibly closer to 70.

But of course, you can make them whatever age you want, really. Except George and his wife probably aren't 20. I'm surprised George didn't use the get off my lawn line.

Clint is similar in age to Emily isnt he? And she cant be much older than Haley, who is presumably early 20s Unless hes a creepy old man.

Oh, I'm sorry...I didn't mean Clint when I said Marnie/Clint. Getting people mixed up. I meant Marnie/the Mayor, whatever his name is.

If we use logic and assumption as our guideline, we can sort of figure out a few peoples ages.

Emily - At least 21, as she works in a bar, and im pretty sure this game was made by an american, where the age to drink in the US is 21.

Haley - With the assumption that Emily is at least 21, that would mean Haley would be around the 18 year old range. Some of the interactions they have lead me to think of an early adult vs young adult.

Clint - Again, the fact that Emily is his sought after love, he would have to be within her age range. I would say maybe mid-late 20s, if we go on the assumption Emily is at least 21.

Marnie - She would be closer to the 45-50 age group, Lewis being the baseline for this. The romantic nature of the two would lead us to believe they are old enough. Also, Marnie doesnt have kids, both Jas and Shane are her niece and nephew.

Shane - 5 oclock Shadow, with drinking a beer at the docks, would lead one to believe he is mid to late 20s

Again, this is all based on pure assumption, there is no real guide to this as far as I know.

Don't forget to factor in the issue that a year in Stardew Valley is only 112 days, or roughly 30.6% as long as our own years. Assuming characters mature at comparable speeds to us, that would make a character like Abigail, who equates to about 20 years old in "our time", roughly 65 years old in Stardew Valley time. =P

That's a gilf I can get behind.

Uh...not really. He could be 35-40ish.

Not like an older man wanting to go out with/marrying a fairly younger woman is exactly uncommon. And no I don't mean super-extreme age difference. But 10-15 years is nothing extraordinary.

There, I fixed it so it reads more accurate. Anything else? I even stated a few times in that post that the entire thing is based on assumption, and you want to start some sort of debate or arguement over my assumptions?

No, I don't want to start a debate. I just don't agree that anyone "has" to be in the same/close age range as someone else, re: romance. You may disagree. That's fine.

Leah is definitely in her early 20's. Same with Emily. I think Emily is a year or two older than Abigail though.

Mate, this song goes out to you.

Put it this way. If they're considered "single" on your social panel, then it's ok to creep on them.

Marnie, well, you'll either have to stalk her on your own, or fight Lewis over her.

With a gold axe, I think I like my chances winning Marnie that way.
