Nope, as others said, the hatch next to the door has to be open.
And it has to be not winter and not raining.
(yes thanks for the replies and I did try putting them in my pockets and carrying them but they didn't want to go!) :D
BTW my chickens seem to get upset if their outdoor fence is broken? Or if I left the fence gate open too? Is that true? Because they've been inside all summer and still get mad at me, it seems to be if the fence is broken. Or did I just forget to feed them that day? :P
haha aw no you were just a new chicken owner who needed to ask neighbors for advice :D
I also didn't know my cat had a watering bowl until the second year. Poor thing. I found that out on a video too. I was wondering why my kitty was curled up back there all the time. haha I didn't even know what that round thing was. So silly. Now he comes out to play in the garden. At least I did try to give him some fish though (that didn't work!)
Also, I believe they only get out from the following day on (if weather is good).
