As long as it's still spring, you should be able to find some. But they will disappear as soon as summer starts.

Yeah, they are usually available. Check areas that you don't go to often, they may have respawned.

If things get dire, you can still buy the dandelions at the flower dance at the end of the month.

I think Leeks tend to show up closer to the mountains (the path to the north of your farm, looping around past the lake and toward the carpenter's shop), while the dandelion is in the more southern areas (the field by the community center, around the town proper).

It also seems like the rarity of the individual forage items change as the season progresses. For instance, in Winter, I found exactly one Snow Yam around day 10, which I turned in to the community center to get the 30 seeds from the bundle. I didn't find another wild Snow Yam until sometime after day 20 -- and then suddenly they were everywhere. Yet Crystal Berries (so frequent I was practically tripping on them in the beginning) were totally MIA; if I didn't have the planted ones, I would've been out of luck.

@Sneaky -- Snow Yams and WInter Roots can be easily found by digging up areas of ground, (without any icons, etc.) DIg up the beach, or in front/back of Jodis house -- you'll find oodles of Yams and Roots there.
