How do you guys get far in the skull caverns?

I find it hard to reach level 25, and I see people with 50 or 75, how do you get so far?

-Best luck day according to fortune teller on the TV
-Pumpkin Soup, Lucky Lunch, Spicy Eel, Eel
-Stockpile of bombs and according to some people mega-bombs
-Few hundred stone for stairs to bypass infestation floors and spiral rooms
-Ignore almost everything you see until you start getting to the good floors (50+)

Average day: Floor 90 - 140
Good day: Floor 120 - 160
Excellent day: Floor 140 - 180

I bring like 50+ mega bombs with me and just start bombing... if I dont dfind a hole or stairs quikly I craft stairs and jump in...

I just stuck it out. I didn't use any tricks at all. I've not even bought a better sword. I got one in the mines. Course I did make alot of those field snacks. Those are my one and only key to how far I've gotten in just a few days of playing the game.

Ember, if you've only been playing the game for a few days, I believe you are talking about the regular mine, not the Skull Mine :-)

Yeah... That's not skull cavern. That's just the normal mines and actually has an elevator. Skull Cavern has no elevator and is inaccessible to new players until they complete two crucial steps which I will say with the spoiler tag.

1. You must have the skull key which you get from a chest in floor 120 of the mines

2. You must have the bus fixed as that is your ticket to getting to where Skull Cavern is located

I had a really lucky day. I found lots of holes to jump in- one went 15 levels! and there were lots of slime enemies for my slime farm.

I haven't even tried to reach lvl 25 yet. Maybe in winter when I wouldn't goint to have anything better to do.
But I'm not very fond of the skull cavern. I miss the elevator.

Around 100 on my best try. Seems like I am a very unlucky guy, because some people claimed to come to 150 with 1/5 of the ressources Ive wasted.

thats not bad my luck is far worse I went into the skull mine several times with over 100 mega bombs on very lucky daysand eating luck food rushing through it and only making it t floor 60 with out getting a single piee of iridium...rng sucks hehe...

There really needs to be an elevator for skull caverns. Although make them every 10,15, or 20 instead of 5
