Perhaps I should have been more obviously sarcastic.
Just keep your marketable items on you and make one trip before you leave the farm for the day. Part of the reason the original SNES Harvest Moon had multiple shipping boxes is because there was no backpack, and you could only carry a single item at a time. It was a practical concern, and later titles did have some kind of backpack, but it was still a lot smaller than what you get in Stardew Valley.
If you think this is frustrating, try missing the 5:00 PM cutoff point for shipping in the Harvest Moon games. The game would let you waste the item by depositing it; you couldn't get it back, it just rotted.
And I still want a even bigger backpack.
Yeah, I really couldn't care less about more shipping bins. A larger backpack would be very nice, though. It could be game-breaking as well, but I'd pay a lot of gold for one more row.
