How many years can I live in Stardew Valley?

So I'm through my first Spring and middle of the Summer. I'm still new with the farming and I haven't even upgraded my house, nor did I built a barn for animals, so I'm taking my time.

What worries me is one thing: is there a specific time limit as to how many years can a single game last?

I haven't tested this to be sure, but I believe you and your fellow peers of the Valley are immortal.

Over 9000 years, currently.

I believe this was answered before, and that the dev stated you could play for as many years as you like (1000s, if you had the time).

Edit: The only real soft time limit that I'm aware of is an assessment of your performance at the beginning of year 3. But even that was changed to be repeatable if you've been a bit slow in accomplishing things, so there's really no reason to hurry. :)
