Cockle not registering in my collection?
I had to have gotten at least 10 or so, and it's outline is clear, but it isn't registering. Am I screwed?

Have you been depositing them in the sell box?

I have, but no other fish has to be deposited to show up. Do I have to get it from a Crab Pot maybe?

The fishing log isn't treated like the shipping log, and doesn't require you to put an item in the shipping bin to fill it. Instead, it tracks the number of times you've caught a given fish.

Did you obtain the cockles via crab pots, or via some other method (like the travelling cart vendor)?

I mainly get them from the Beach

It's possible you need to get it via crab pot for it to count, as you actually need to fish for the fishes to count.

This is just an educated guess on my part, but if you're getting them by picking them directly up off the shore, the game may not count them as being "caught" and add them to your log for completion. They're also obtainable via crab pots placed near the ocean. Obtaining one that way should count as a "catch", but I'd have to test to see if this is true in other cases.

You're correct, sorry I blanked on what item we were talking about. Has to be Crab-Potted.

Okay thanks guys, I can't believe that is the last crab pot fish I need.

Oh, you should get them pretty quickly, as they are common catches. My last crab pot "fish" was a lobster. Now that took me a little while.

I have gotten 4 already -.-
