Legendary Fish, what to do?

I just caught my first legendary fish, the Crimsonfish. It's even a gold star fish. What should I do with it? Keep it, use it, or sell it?

I kept all mine as trophies, but you can sell them if you feel like it. They are unique though and there are usually better ways of making money.

I hope fish trophies will be added in the future. I'll just hang on to them until then

There is one use for the legendary fish. One of them (only one, as trying to put a second type of fish doesn't score as well) gets you a very high score in the showcase event of the Stardew Valley fair in fall. Can make up for lower scoring items for the rest of the showcase. Don't forget to pick it up again before you leave the event.

I sold that mutant sewer fish and wanted another one just for show. Never again got it. I can edit it in but it defeats the purpose of the game if I do that.

Just caught the Mutant Carp on the 9th of my second Spring, I think I'd rather save it for when ConcernedApe does make fish trophies that you can mount on your wall or something, to remind yourself of that accomplishment each time to wake up or go to bed.

I'd recommend saving it, if I were you. You only get one and selling it is like selling your house, just to pay for a vaccine. Like, rather being sick and at home, than healthy and without a home.
