How do i get into peoples rooms i found the mayors pants but they are in someones room

Raise your friendship with Marnie to 2 hearts.

I believe you need at least 2 maybe 3 hearts with each villager to be allowed into their personal areas.

I could have sworn there was a room I couldn't get into until I was at 3 hearts with them, hence my skepticism on the matter. I'll do some tests on it to be sure in the near future.

Might you be thinking of the Wizards back room? (which requires 5 hearts, if I'm not mistaken)

Hmm, no I knew his was 5. The one I'm thinking of was specifically 3, but it was quite a while ago and on my first play through so maybe it's that the two nearest times I checked their room was at 1 heart and then 3 hearts. I really can't remember the details. Doctor's office? Pierre's? Robin's? Will confirm in tests eventually.

Click on the door, it'll tell you you're not good enough friends with Marnie to enter her bedroom. Meaning: Make friends with her. She likes Parsnips, and Farmer's Lunch, Cave Carrots and Amaranth are good too.

Because it's a Peyton Place moment, Marnie and Lewis are having an illicit affair. Make better friends with either or both of them and you'll learn more about it.
