Just be careful; it's hard to put down once you start.
Nothing in the game is timelocked by design, so whatever pace you want to play the game at, nothing will be restricted.
To get the "most" out of the game (i.e. do everything) will require a fair bit of time, but one can argue that extends the longevity of it. Like Skyrim - you can spend countless hours trying to 100% the demon, or just whip through the main storyline in 60~ minutes.
That depends heavily on what you consider "timelocked". Yes, you can play for as long as you want and take your time doing things, but there are some areas and some crops that are in fact locked until a certain in game date.
