Legendary fish, in fall fair display?

I was curious if anyone has tried this. I've caught a legendary on my current playthrough and need some items for the coming fair.

If they work, 'Legend' might be the best item you could show! (Since it's so rare/expensive).

I'm just curious if it will accept any of the legendary fish. I assume if it takes one, they would all work.

Would you like me to 'just' display the 5 legendaries (all gold stars)? Or fill the stand.

Whatever you want to do! All I'm curious about is if you can place a single legendary fish into the display box and if it counts towards your score. That would answer my question.

The 5 Legendary fish + 4 gold star Ancient Fruits = 87 points.

The 5 Legendary fish + 2 gold star Ancient Fruits + 2 Ancient Fruit Wine = 92 points.

You can display almost anything and the higher their value and diversity, the better your score.

Put 2 legendary fish on display, alongside high value stuff, like golden starfruit, starfruit wine, cloth, etc and got 1st place with a score of 96.

It would be nice if we saw the scoring for the different stuff for that fair.

Not a big deal but if it's possible i'd be happy.

I wonder if the fact that lewis hates fish impacts the scores you get from fish?

To win first place, you need 90 points. Second place is earned with 75 points, and third place is earned with 60 points. Here is how points are calculated:

You get 14 points automatically.
Each unique category (e.g. Fish, Flower, Vegetable) represented in your display earns 5 points.
Normal quality items receive 1 point, silver star items receive 2 points, and gold star items receive 3 points.
Higher-valued items receive more points. An item earns one additional point for reaching each indicated sell value: 20g, 90g, 200g, 300g, 400g.


However I don't think this is correct, as I put 5 Legendary fish in only and they are all over 400g. They were also all gold star so it should of (if my math is correct) be (5x(5+3))+14=54, but I got a score of 50.

Thanks for posting your findings Sir Ruffington. I had never thought of using legendary fish in my mix before. Good to know :P Should be able to win the first year with my crimsonfish, iridium bar, diamond and some gold star stuff. Thanks again. Cheers!

i remember Lewis told me the valuation to win the festival is by the item's quality and diversity so i put 2 of each different category and i got the first place with 99 points in my first fair festival by displaying 2 gold quality vegetable, 2 gold quality fruit, 2 gold quality fish (not legendary because i haven't caught one then), 2 minerals (diamond, ruby) and lastly a gold quality sunflower.
