What do you guys do with your Minerals/Artifacts?

I've been saving these things up. Is there a big use for them end-game? Or are they just compensation for mining?

p.s. Yes, I've given my first ones to Gunther.

First to the museum. Then the gems as gifts, the rest either stockpiled or sold. Artifacts are worth bugger all, you're better off tossing for the bag space.

the first one goes to Gunther and the rest is either sold or kept as gifts, depending on the type ...
as for artifacts, I keep the dwarven ones (afcter giving the first one to Gunther) as gifts for the mine dwarf

Artifacts are all sold once I donated them to the museum, gems are kept as presents, low quality quartz is kept for crafting, the rest goes straight into the selling box. I hoarded everything for a very long time, but never found a use for it.
