Getting more Sap?
I noticed I am really getting low on this item, I wonder, is there an easier way then tree, or do I just need to keep regrowing and cutting for the sap?

If you are running low on sap / wood I would suggest clearing out the Forest south of the farm. The trees in there grow back over time.

Regrowing trees isn't a bad idea. However, you can also chop down trees off your lot and they will eventually regrow if you don't leave the stump. You can also get more sap from killing slimes in the mines and the secret forest.

I guess i will spend a day in the forest for wood, and sap, and see how it goes.
I thought I read, leaving the stump helps tree regrow, but now I know how silly that sounds.

Farm the purple slimes in the skull cavern for large and virtually unlimited quantities of sap, slime and white algae. They even have a slight chance to drop prismatic shards, iridium ores and bars.

I take it you're using the sap for fertilizer?

Yeah, just go to the southern forest and go to town on trees there. I believe they even grow back faster.

If you leave the stump, they will NOT regrow.

It's funny you have loads of sap in the start of the game cause of clearing all trees, then later on when your farm gets really big and you have to fertilize 800+ crops every season sap drains FAST. Does Slime huts produce sap, since they drop it all the time?

Why even plant that much?

Good question actually since I dont really need the money, guess I could leave half the sprinkler fields empty, it feels "wrong" though. =)

Switch to orchards and sell the sprinlers lol. A full greenhouse and 5 kegs per tree per season. The same amount of money with a lot less effort.
But then you don't get sights like this:

I always wanted to know what real life melons are pink....
Special magical melons only grown in the valleys of Stardew.

Don't know why it couldn't just be watermelons or something though. I want more crops.
There's a quest that asks you to deliver a melon to Demetrius for an experiment. When you give him te melon, he mentions it's going to be difficult for him not to eat it.
Im not sure if watermelons would be better or worse. :steammocking:
