Can't put bait in crab pot - SOLVED

Can someone please tell me how to put bait in the crab pot? I put the pot in the water, then hold my bait in my hand, and no matter what I click, he always picks up the crab pot.

EDIT - I was using monster guts. Never crafted them into bait. I feel so special.

To make sure, have you picked the Luremaster skill at level 10?

There's a "right place" in the crab pot model you have to click, close to it's lid. Mouse over it with the bait in your hand and in the right spot the bait should "light up".

Wait, your fishing level must be maxed out first? My fishing is only level 6. I got the pots from finishing one of the community center bundles.

No, I was asking because the level 10 skill "Luremaster" makes Crab Pots not need bait, and if you try and put bait in you will just pick it up.

But it sounds like Hurodrik is probably right, find the sweat spot on the crab pot to put the bait in.

Still no luck. There's no spot that makes the bait "light up." - Just to reiterate, the pot is in the water, and the bait is selected in my hand. Holding it above his head.

Metatron - I'm holding the bait, and he still picks up the crab pot, even if I right click.

After this day maybe I'll just close the game? Must be some sort of glitch.

I notice this already happens, if you already baited the pot and not reaized it..
