What is the Void egg used for ?

Just got one and was wondering what I can do with it ?

You can hatch it to have void chickens. That's about it.

You can incubate it to get a void chicken which will lay more void eggs. The void eggs are only good for selling and for gifting to a few villagers. They might be used for an achievement too, but you'd have to check.

Do you think it has to do with when our PC's go to sleep? I always tend to max out the day, and average sleep at 12-1 am, and 2 AM if I am running a Skull Cvaern run. I don't think I have ever let my PC sleep before 11 pm?

Same goes here. Almost always sleep at 1 above, hell.... even pass out 1x near the house. Not sure if it would effects it though

I still hadn't gotten the void egg cutscene by Summer of year 3, then i finally caught the traveling merchant with one in stock (bought it obv) then that very same night i got the cutscene...LOL

The chance of a witch flying over and leaving a Void Egg in your Coop seems to be entirely random. I've actually had if happen twice, once a year, but there was no connection between time, season, day, or anything like that.
