ok so im married to abi,
now ofcourse it goes without saying that other romance options are locked out now...
but i noticed that maru's hearts bar was starting to lower, so i want to hers to give her a battery pack...

wasn't sure if it was on her birthday or a day before... but whatever
i want to her house she was working in the lab with her pops.
when i got home after finishing my jobs for the day and give abi a good nightkiss, spoke to her before i want to bed... she said ""i was told that you secretly give maru a gift, do i need to feel jealous""

...now... i hardlyyyyyy did it in secret as she was in the room with everyone else lol
but seriously ?.... XD what happenes its the rest of the towns birthdays or need a gift ? XD...
hell XD what happens when i give a gift to granny o.O

does giving anyone else when your married actually do anything bad or is it just for dialogue ?

yep we was married,
i had everyones (or least all "single" town members to the max 8 out of 10 hearts)
and non romance options to the full 10 out of 10,
and abi i got to the full 12 hearts.

marus hearts just dropped from 8 to 7,, i had some time left in my day so i thought ah what the hell i dont need any more iron lampposts lol so i thought what the hell, ill give the battery to her

i think it was..... around.... 6.. or 7pm as i just post the cows to bed xD.... so to speak

I dunno, I think it's just a random response. I'm married to Maru and she yelled at me once for giving someone a gift. Then later I went and gave the other 4 girls bouquets, maxed them out and played out all of their 10 heart romance events and Maru never said a word.
So it's either not really an issue and there for RP, or Maru is going to break my kneecaps with one of her robots and collect child support off the farm that brings in millions of gold a season.

I think it's only an issue if you only give a gift to one single person. If you give a gift to more than one person they won't care.

My understanding from a google search is that it's a small chance from giving any gift to a "single" character of the same gender as your spouse.

I ended up marrying Abigail as well, she's surprisingly jealous. Was at full 12 hearts so stopped giving gifts, just talking to her a few times each day. 3 days later I find she dropped to 10 hearts while I was giving gifts to a bunch of villagers. Pushed her back up to 11 hearts, gifted Haley and found it drop back down to 10 hearts. It's going to be a bitter path maxing out all the villagers.
From what I heard from another account, they married Sebastion and got most of the villagers to 10 hearts including single partners but he didn't even flinch in status.

I married Sebastian and he's never said anything. Although I have been mostly gifting people only on their birthdays and haven't given anyone else a bouquet. I honestly might try gifting some of the bachelors/bacherlorettes more often and see if he gets jealous now lol.
