WARNING: Mermaid Pendant

WARNING:

Do not carry the Mermaid Pendant in the Mines/Skull Cave if you already bought it and not given it to someone else yet.

I died in the mines carrying this item and had an instant regret, the item is lost together with a few more. I tried going back to the Old Mariner but he no longer sells it. So you'll be stuck with not getting married anymore.

That day was productive to me but I have to close the game so it won't save it.

Theres a way to get the pendant back... but you need to mod your game and add item cheats to it (for everyone else who lost an important item here and saved after that)

Copy & paste from somewhere else

I lost the Mermaid's Pendant, and I can't buy another one

1. Open your save file in notepad.
2. search (ctrl+f) for "specialItems"
3. delete the <int>460</int> you find there
4. Save your file... now the old mariner should sell you the pendant again.

Coz I still want to trigger Heart Events for other 'single' characters. like the 10 hearts event for Abigail is not yet done. But Leah is already 10 hearts with Boquet.

will other character's heart event still trigger even if I already got married?

Yes you can still see all the heart events.

They need to rework that stupid item anyway.

I have 10 hearts with Penny since the beginning of Fall and now it is the end of Winter and the guy just never appeared. There was not a single day with rain after like the 5th of Fall and snow fall during Winter apparently doesn't count as rain so the Mariner doesn't appear during the whole season either. -.-

i think the rain is just a % chance so you might have a really bad luck. try getting married on Spring, lots of rain on that season. my Year 2 spring stared with 2 consecutive rains so I was able to buy the mermaid pendant to the old mariner.
