Please help. I cannot find a catfish

I've tried fishing everywhere. every season. rain/snow/sunny. and i've never seen a catfish

Do they become more common in year two?

You're sure you tried fishing in Spring or Fall, in the river while it's raining between midday and 2am?

I didnt do alot of fishing in spring. and in fall i may have been mining during rainy days. I'll try fishing more next year during springs. im currently in winter of year 1

the wiki hasnt been of any help. it claims cat fish can be found anywhere spring fall or winter during inclement weather

I can tell you that I definitely found a catfish in front of Jodi's house in spring while it was raining. But it took me quite a long time. I had to fish for several hours and found a lot of other fish before I finally got the right one.

I hope you are aware that the water directly at the mines is a lake and no river, btw. (and therefore doesn´t contain any catfish)

Also I hope that you have an Iridium Rod wqith a Trap Tackle ... Catfish isn´t an easy to catch fish (I had catfish several times with the fiberglass rod, but every time they escaped)

Thank you Proteus. I'll try trap lures. maybe i have snagged a few but been unable to reel them in. btw are you named after the gallente tech 3 cruiser from EVE online?

Also if you have the ability to get the ingredients for making food that gives + fishing. It's well worth it
