Tips on how to mary Leah, or Penny?

I really want to marry one of those 2, but they don't raise any hearts when I give then flowers =(

Are Leah* or Penny at 8 hearts? In the Social tab do they already have flower icons? What heart rating are they at at the moment?

Flowers don't increase your relationship, they just open the last two hearts.

Leah are among the easiest person you ever want. Brought salad from the bar, cost 220 if I'm not mistaken, and she'll be happy as ever. Mind you that you'll need 2 hearts to enter her cabin, before that happen, try stand around 12 afternoon. She come out around that times, if it not raining. Can't give advice for penny, never try it. But try this instead?

Sorry, when you say "Flowers" Do you mean flower flowers, or "Bouquet" flowers?

Right, okay. Different Villagers like different gifts. The gifts range from Love, Like, Neutral, Dislike and Hate.

Depends what types of flowers are being referred to.

Flower Bouquet allows you to get more than 8 hearts with the marriageable villagers.

Flowers found in the wilderness or bought from shops, foraged etc etc can in fact raise relationships at any point with any villager that doesn't dislike or hate them as gifts.

For what it's worth, 1 heart does not equate to 1 gift. 1 heart is 250 points of affection and a gift will not even provide half of that no matter how much they love the gift. The only exception to this is gifting them on their birthday with their love gifts and that will raise affection by a whopping 2.5 hearts.

I raised my hearts with Leah and Penny only by giving them flowers that grow in the village, and eggs. Took a while, but it works fine, because both are happy about eggs (and also milk), while some other villagers don't like those presents. If you happen to have a lot of chickens, this would be the best way. Also spare some melons for Penny, will give you a giant boost.

I have married Leah. She is a sucker for wine. I was able to raise my hearts to full by giving her a bottle of home made wine and some fruit each week. Her hearts went up very very fast with the booze lol

For Leah, mass producing Salmonberry (spring) or Blackberry Wine is the easiest and cheapest way.

For Penny, it depends. Poppies are probably easiest to get, but they're summer stuff. If you have the bus repaired, Sandfish is less season dependent. Saving up some Emeralds while mining works well too.
