Stardew Valley's "obscure secret(s)"
This thread is intended to be a successor to this thread. Obviously, this one's probably gonna have a lot of spoilers.

In an interview soon after Stardew Valley's release in February 2016, ConcernedApe (the developer of Stardew) stated that there was a weird and obscure secret that nobody had yet found.

Here is the part of the interview where the secret was discussed:

PCG: Finally, are there any secrets in the game that you haven't seen anyone find yet?
EB: Yes.
PCG: Yes?
EB: Yes.
PCG: And you're not going to tell me what that is, probably?
EB: No, I won’t tell you. [Laughs] I haven't told anyone.
PCG: Is it significant?
EB: It's not super significant, but it's kind of just so weird and obscure that I don't know if anyone will ever do it.

We don't know for certain what secret CA was referring to in that interview, even after nearly an entire year of searching. However, there are quite a few secrets the community has discovered, and there are sure to be more to find. The goal of this thread is to provide a place for secret hunters to coordinate their search.

February 14:
At the moment, it appears there are no more unfound secrets in Stardew Valley. DIG NameleSS1 asked ConcernedApe on Twitter, and that's basically the response he got. I'll update this with a link to that tweet when I can get it.

Well glad to know I am not yet proven insane. I wonder if anything happens if you achive the goal set by those text on the time it appears.

You get an achievement. They're nothing more than hints for certain achievements that show up occasionally.

I don't really know if these are anything big but the only odd things I've found are, on the title screen clicking the E in Stardew a bunch will get you an alien popping out and waving. There also appears to be a door on the bottom right of the farm that isn't accessible.
This is pretty well-known, but good job on finding that yourself regardless. As for the door, it's a reference to Narnia that appears only during the winter. It's also pretty well-known.

I shared my thoughts on this before:

Someone mentioned that the desert frame in Emily's room looks like a hidden door... Emily starts with E, and in the opening of the game if you keep clicking on the letter E an alien shows up. I also noticed that Emily's favorite gifts are very similar to the Dwarf. She also loves Survival Burger and Cloth. What if she is secretly an alien and uses her own clothes to hide it (somehow) and the survival burger has something to do with the light/air pressure?

If she was a dwarf, though, how do you explain Haley?

I could totally believe that Emily is an alien.

I mean, just look at that manic grin.

Maybe not blood-related?

Though being an alien might also explain Haley's bitchiness; she doesn't quite understand human interaction.

So, people linked the ??HMTGF?? statue to a song called Tredecim.

Well if anyone has anyone theories they want to test out let me know, I actually have my game saved on a snowy Wednesday, 3rd of Winter.

The curtain in the back on the yoba shrine makes me think it might be covering a door.

Can you get multiple statues? because I think I lost my HMTGF one
Magic Mike Mar 19, 2016 @ 1:01am
according to the Willy story, Stardrops are related to the "Winter star", the winter star is clearly a reference to the Xmas star.
How does a flavor reminds you of a specific person? could it be that your grandpa is from outerspace just as "God" aka "Yoba", if he's really dead then where's his gravestone? Could it be that instead of dying he's really on space? Did you ate your grandfather that's why there's no gravestone?
Also the fact the only the Mayor knew your grandpa is quite suspicious, as far as I'm in the game only him is the one that seems to know your grandpa

each time you get a stardrop it says "it's taste reminds you of [insert your Grandfather's name]"

Actually, the text between brackets is the "Favorite Thing" you put in the Character Creation screen. Every time mine pops up, it says "it's taste reminds you of Junimos"... :-)

Some other people have put in more ... ehm... "colorful" favorite things... especially related to intercourse of an intimate nature... and then thought that SV was R-Rated.... lol (Search the forums for funny threads.. heh)

Anyway, the stardrop text isn't related to grandpa.

My bad, so I guess I put on the favorite thing a male name so the first time I got a drop I thought it was the name of my grandpa, what a mess lol.

Still about the grandfather I find really strange that nobody except the mayor seem to have known your grandpa, I believe Gus mentions him 1 time too? not sure about this.

Wait, in regards to being reminded of your favorite flavor-

Someone showed that if you put "ConcernedApe", you get a cool little thankyou message any time you eat a Stardrop/

Have we tried Yoba? Or even Gotoro? In game things that definitely exist, but the player hasn't seen?
