Stardew Valley's "obscure secret(s)"

This thread is intended to be a successor to this thread. Obviously, this one's probably gonna have a lot of spoilers.

In an interview soon after Stardew Valley's release in February 2016, ConcernedApe (the developer of Stardew) stated that there was a weird and obscure secret that nobody had yet found.

Here is the part of the interview where the secret was discussed:

PCG: Finally, are there any secrets in the game that you haven't seen anyone find yet?
EB: Yes.
PCG: Yes?
EB: Yes.
PCG: And you're not going to tell me what that is, probably?
EB: No, I won’t tell you. [Laughs] I haven't told anyone.
PCG: Is it significant?
EB: It's not super significant, but it's kind of just so weird and obscure that I don't know if anyone will ever do it.

We don't know for certain what secret CA was referring to in that interview, even after nearly an entire year of searching. However, there are quite a few secrets the community has discovered, and there are sure to be more to find. The goal of this thread is to provide a place for secret hunters to coordinate their search.

At the moment, it appears there are no more unfound secrets in Stardew Valley. DIG NameleSS1 asked ConcernedApe on Twitter, and that's basically the response he got. I'll update this with a link to that tweet when I can get it.

Not sure if this is a secret but I haven't seen anybody really mention it...
(Unless this is something everybody knows then sorry in advance for being a newb!)

Spoiler tag just in case. In Pierre's store, there is what appears to be a little chapel dedicated to a divine figure called Yoba. I took a screenshot of it and uploaded it in case anybody wants to see it. Maybe whoever that divine entity is is a key figure in this 'secret'? Or maybe I'm just looking into it too much...

Another thing I recently saw while I was roaming at night (I enjoy the risky life) was a HUGE black bird silently soaring from the top of the screen down to the bottom right below the Museum. Didn't see anything about it ANYWHERE on the internet but I can upload the screenshot I took of it just before it disappeared.

I love this game for its weird little secrets but I can't help shake off the feeling that there's something a little sinister behind the curtains. It's probably nothing overly disturbing to warrant any warnings or ratings for it but it's probably unsettling.

When I try to build a building 13 squares away from Grandpa's shrine, it shows that it can't be built on, and there is a black shadow over the square. Is this new?

I bet ConcernedApe hasn't implented it yet, because there is a mod that gives you access to all items ingame and so many people have mined the data of the game and they didn't find anything obscure or secret until now. CA is just playing around with us for some laughs :D Or, he will bring the secret into the game with later patches.

I mean, come on it is funny how everybody is trying to work together and to solve the secret, ConcernedApe, you're one evil but funny guy, look at all those people you brought together :D

Unfortunately it sounds like you have a corrupted square. From what I've heard this is often because of invisible treestumps, so you might be able to fix it by hitting it with an axe.

There is a bit of mystery around Yoba, but I think the bird is just a random occurrence. I've seen one a couple times as well, and I think it's an owl.

Oh thank god somebody else saw it. I honestly thought that maybe it was a bad omen or an indicator that I did something wrong (this game has a lot of superstitious and mythological aspects to it which give you more questions than answers). Then again, it seems as though strange beings tend to pop up now and then (ex. the man on the beach in stormy weather) and God knows why. :-P

Maybe Yoba has something to do with the Jumino (sp?) or the other magical forces/creatures in the game? And that makes sense that it would be an owl, actually! Whew, anxiety adverted.

It could be a running gag, you know? Like "Removed Herobrine" in all the Minecraft patchnotes. Or the whole "What's in the box?" thingy from Five Night At Freddys.

Here "Yoba" is a verb with mean "Anoint" or "oindre" in french.

It is a old religious ceremony in wich we cover a body in oil, christian do that at Jesus time.
The "Yoba autel" maybe mean "The autel where we anoint someone " ?

Or maybe all this have no sence and it's just a coincidence... "
