Since when do you need oak resin for a keg?
I just went to craft some more kegs and noticed that oak resin was a required ingredient. I have crafted about 30+ kegs on my farm and never used oak resin before. I only have one tapper attached to an oak tree so there's obiously no way I've gotten enough oak to craft previous kegs.

Did this recently get updated? Thanks.

It was a ninja patch, there's no patch notes about it. So far we've only found that they added the three tree tap Artisan Products to Kegs, Bee Hives and Looms.

Looms? do remember that looms use resin since loooong time ago. Way before this keg and honey things. Regardless, the results still the same. 3 of it need resins

I would like a mass nerf to base crops and a buff to selling animals, and selling their products.

Oh was looms not one? I just checked over it and saw Looms use Pine Tar, Bee House uses Maple Syrup and Kegs use Oak Resin. I assumed that all 3 were in that patch.

I agree, I find doing anything with animals a waste of money.

Agreed... animals are way too tough, while most of the other options are way too overpowered.

I remember it quite clearly, because that resin is the one that force me to make a tapper lol. Oh well, on the bright side, tapper has more use now aren't they?

Just for raw stats I just did a harvest of Pumpkins that was ready:
Cheese** = 150g
Goat Cheese** = 300g
Mayonnaise** = 150g
Duck Mayonnaise = 200g
Pine Tar = 100g
Maple Syrup = 200g
Oak Resin = 150g

And then we have the Pumpkins:
Pumpkin = 352g
Pumpkin* = 440g
Pumpkin** = 528g

I mean, how is this fair. The base Pumpkin with no star quality is worth 3 times the amount of tree tap product, and more than most farm product.

I just sell my 3 star pumpkins, keep the silver/regular for pickles and make tons of hops and wheat for ale/beer.
In my 2nd year, so will just make a few animals to complete the CC bundles.

Maybe because you can milk goat every 2 days, and cow for each days? While pumpkin need..... 12days?

but the time you spend daily is more expensive imo.
The game has a far greater value on time than coins.

Its the upkeep that is the problem. You have to feed them or pasture them, every day. whereas all you do for crops is water and harvest.
That 1 of the reason. The other one are hefty first time investment. But at least they work even in winter. And for the hay, grow large amounts of grass field, and cut it. Won't completely cover it, but it alleviate the cost
