I also agree with you that Abigail in particular feels lifeless after marriage, some of the dialogue makes it feel like she knows she's supposed to be happy and she's got a stable marriage but there's so much that she doesn't like that she's miserable.
Many others have said it but the things that make you fall for your spouse are lost after you marry them, no more night time interactions or walks to the beach. Heck, no more interactions with other townsfolk outside of events, the other day Abigail commented "I wonder how everyone else is doing", like she couldn't leave the house and go visit them.
I'd be very happy if the NPC interaction systems were flushed out a bit more to "stir" up the monotony and add some depth to the game. Regular events that happen with spouses etc.
Any yes exactly its driving me nuts xD... and its only been a few days, its like wow... I'm a total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for marrying you before the systems are complete lol... at least hopes the systems are more flushed out.
I would love for some unique traits are assigned to each person, unique events, and some shared ones between all the marriages, like exploring, going into the mines, etc
It's one dev, and for what it's worth, he's said recently that he plans to expand content in as many areas of the game as he can in both an interview with PC Gamer and a few times on his twitter. Marriage is specifically one of the things he's pointed towards as being likely to happen sooner rather than later.
Jokes aside I agree they do seem really lifeless afterwards I mean they dont even do what they would normally do. Also no one mentions the whole being married thing. Your in-laws never mention it, in no event I seen does it change a single thing, and I have never heard a single comment from any char other then your wife.
Edit: Nevermind.
I kinda figured was more/less a one man project, but I'd assume with the "success" of its sales(assumingly since front page of steam sales, and tonnes of youtubers publicizing it), they like many projects like this I've seen can always hire a few extra helpers/writers.
Again good to hear, glad I'm not alone in the observations of what seems a bit lacking in areas. And definately look forward to updates in this game
Which is funny since Pierre and Caroline never mention it once, like ever. I was totally expecting some sort of comment during the ceremony but nope xD... just totally take my Teenage daughter
Ya I feel alot of motivation gone playing now like I enjoyed chasing after her (looking on the wiki usually where I could find her, be it the graveyard or w/e. Now I always know where she is since basically doesn't have a life anymore, I'd almost prefer keeping her at 10 hearts and just leave it like that.. infact I likely would have if I knew it was going to dull the game this much after that.
I get what your saying. After I married Sebastian he literally does nothing except make breakfast and occassionally take care of stuff on the farm. I get it - he was a hermit to begin with but it just seems lacking. Like at least show him walking around the farm or town or something.
Also read through entire Q&A, and definately respect the dev for wanting to continue on alone as much as possible, though do hope he isn't biting off more then he can chew now. Will be a rough few months are the error fighting goes xD.. srs his twitter is just exploded.
