Life Elixir is kinda useless
The only pro is that it only uses one slot in your inventory. But it needs a blue, red and a chanterelle mushroom. The point is that the elixir gives you 200 energy and 80 health. If I eat the blue mushroom and a chanterelle mushroom I would get the same amount without wasting a red mushroom. The only downside is that it'll uses two inventory slots!

FYI a Golden Blue (Purple*) Shroom gives 225 energy and 90 hp, and you're guaranteed a golden one if you have the Gatherer-> Botanist perk (and a chance to double it.)

It, and every single Purple shroom ever, will only take one slot then, and always be max worth and restore.

I've equally Though Life Elixir has been worthless since forever, because there are some dishes that will do just as good, or almost as good, and are incredibly cheap. By the time you can reliably craft life elixirs (cost-save) or buy them (time-save), You're likely already able to be stocking up on other things.

Some of the ones which are "almost" even provide speed and/or luck and/or luck and another buff.

My Personally fav is Spicy Eel, Which are far more obtainable for free (skull dungeon's flyer/dragon drops them uncommonly) which boosts your luck and speed for like 6mins.

the dwarf sells life elixers so you can just load up on them pretty easily...

I just use regular cheese (1 Milk) to heal myself. It gives plenty of Health and energy, rest is usually combined and sold :P

Yeah, I haven't unlock much of the meals, I guess I have to watch more tv! But I just noticed it with the elixir while I was grinding through the cave. Thanks for the info by the way I gonna keep my eye on that Spicy Eel meal and the milk (because I was working with crops only at first! ;)

... Lol I haven't even found the dwarf yet!

Oh yeah, sure enough gold cheese gives the same as gold purple shroom, so I imagine the lower quality cheese is the same as lower quality purple shroom too.

Anything Spicy (or atleast most. so it seems) and Coffee will give you that speed boost. Eel meals give luck (thus Spicy Eel gives both 1 luck and 1 speed) However, since Golden cheese gives as much as purple shroom, it is fair to warn that Spicy eel is only like, half as powerful...but like I said, It drops at a pretty consistent rate from the green eel-dragon things in the skull caves.

Pepper Poppers is rather easy to make, Giving Shane Some Pizza every week and/or on his birthday will get him to give you the recipe fairly quickly.

just 1 pepper and 1 cheese. This will give you an item with speed boost, and actually more hp/energy restore, but, (or even better) it give you +2 farming instead of +1 luck from the eel portion.

especially during season when you can grow peppers rather quickly, you can get an absurd amount of these fairly easily.

Thanks again for the info! I'm going to check that out as soon as I can!

Maybe I shouldn't have picked the mushroom cave after all. :MEATYTEARS:

It's more useful than a random fruit or two per day, dude.

the elixir full heals so it's useful in the gold mines since you never run out of stamina anyways
