Old Mariner and the Pendant

So, I've managed to reach 10 hearts with one of the villagers (Single) and I've proposed to this person, but due to a winter month with no rain, I could not visit the Old Mariner, now... the issue I'm having, even in the new year, I went to the old Mariner on the first rainy day that appeared, but he still say the very same thing, that I'm not quite ready for it.

Anyone else having this issue, or knows how to solve it? :)

Did you give the girl/boy a bouquet?

Yes, I gave the Bouquet to a the 10 hearted person :)

is your house upgraded at least one time so you ahve the kitchen...

I was able to get the pendant from the old mariner. Did you see all the boy/girl events?

Don't know if I saw all this NPC's events, but I did see quite a lot of them, that is.

As for my farm, if that have any matter, all my buildings, main, + barn and coop is maxed out.

Pretty sure you gotta trigger the 10 heart event for that NPC.

DId you keep up with them over winter.

Hearts decay slowly. they may not be as into you if you did not keep gifting them

No, I currently haven't found the solution for my issue, but I'll be playing abit more this evening, entering 4th year. I'll make an update in this thread:)

Still no luck, but I got some more time tomorrow, so I'll do some attempts to see if I can get it solved.

Any chance you can post exactly what he said? The 'not ready yet' kinda implies something is wrong on the dating end, but it'd be nice to see the whole thing. I know he says something if your house isn't big enough, but I'm not sure about heart cutscenes and heart levels anymore.

Not ready yet is just his generic response you're most likely to usually be obtaining. I would assume you need to see the 10 heart event, since you seem to have hit the other criteria.
