Secret to the Sturgeon?

Is there a secret to catching a Sturgeon? I've been fishing that lake in front of the mine for a while now. I catch everything else but the Sturgeon. According to the wiki, there are no set times or weather needs in order to catch it.

Wondering same. I level 8 or 9 fishing and I do probably 75% of my fishing from that lake, and I have never caught a sturgeon either.

LOL. Whatever other wiki I was looking at said that the season didn't matter. I'm in the Fall. Makes sense now. Thanks for the info.

Yeah, thanks. I just verified I was using the official wiki. I just copied the season down wrong. I think I looked at the Scorpion Carp above.

fish at the lake in summer and stand directly infront of the mine entrance and fish into the water aligned with that (same row). They spawned pretty regularly for me there. Bait and a fibreglass rod I had.
