I still can't catch "Legend", what am I doing wrong?

My fish "collection is almost complete and I have all the other legendary fish, but I can't catch Legend.

From what I've heard he's at the mine lake, at the log and can be caught at anytime before 8PM? I've unlocked "wild bait" and I use a dressing spinner and I've tried for days (in game) to no avail.

I've tried doing it from the left of the log near the fence and north of it on the island and still nothing.

Is this fish just very very rare or am I missing something?

It needs to be Spring and raining. Has about a 1 in 20 chance to be caught on the hook and is 10% more difficult to catch than the second most difficult in the game so don't fall asleep while waiting to catch him.

Is the second most difficult the winter legendary? I heard Legend appeared all year.

As far as i'm concerned Legend and Glacierfish and equally difficult. Just Legend is a pain in the ass because you have to wait until a rainy day, and if you aren't able to catch it on said day you either have to restart the day, or wait and hope for another rainy day.

Got problems with rain? craft a rain totem if you can and it will make it rain the next day

Eating food with fishing buffs too to make it easier.

-Legend is 110% difficulty
-Glacierfish is 100%
-Crimsonfish and Octopus are tied at 95%
-Lava Eel and Scorpion Carp are tied at 90%

Why does the guide I use say all seasons? Oh well, Spring isn't that far away. :\

Because they're going by the game's fish.yaml file.. but they are too trusting of it and don't realize that the game's executable hardcodes the locations and seasons of certain fish to prevent manipulating certain aspects of the fishing file.

good luck to ya. They even with a trapbobber, and great luck, and buff to your fishing skill are still a huge pain in the ass.

Getting the Legend to bite can be tricky, but it was easy to catch for me. I got both it and the Glacierfish on my first try. By far the hardest to catch I think are the Scorpion Carp and Lava Eel.

I am 100% sure that the legend can only be caught in spring while it is raining. He is slightly more difficult than the glacierfish and you must cast your line near the log in the lake near the mines.
