Gold and Silver Star Items
What does everyone do with these quality items? Do you keep a few in storage as potential gifts or sell them right away? Will the quality of an item affect gifting at all?

My main farmer has every gold star item in chests for collection sake. Rarity does not effect gifting, wining, preserving or any other artisan act. Nor does it effect the seeder, the main use for rarity is some events and to sell for more value.

Fall festival. Prepare your highest base price item for display. If you won, you got 1k coupon to use at festival stand

If you put a gold star mineral into the crystalarium you will continue to get gold star minerals. Not sure if that's intentional but it's pretty sweet 8)

Thanks for the tip bud. Is the crystalarium a craftable item?

Can you use legend fish at the festival since they're worth a pretty penny.

Rarity totally does affect giting

tl;dr
Silver/Gold/Iridium Quality items are good for the festival, gifts, and selling (in that order).
If the item isn't going to the festival or to someone else - sell it.

Brah, you're necroing a year and a half old thread. Rarity did not matter back then.

Quality is a multiplier affecting gifts

Silver + 10%
Gold + 25%
Iridium +50%
