-shrug- I think it is the case, just based on my own experience. Like waiting for a lucky day to break geodes, I tend to get better stuff out of them than the unlucky days.
Foraging items - quantity and quality
Geods will gives you rare minerals, instead of coal or crappy stones.
Not sure about mining, may be higher chance to find a ladder or something. It actually affects everything, but it's hard to say certainly.
I also did the same when I was getting a multitude of rare fish/gems, went home, and the fortune teller said the spirits were in good humors/very happy.
I generally call bs on the fortuneteller anyways, just like irl.
