[spoilery] Leah's Heart 8 event on festival day

well yeah title says it all.

It is 27th of fall, Spirit's eve festival (starts at 10pm)
However, it is the same day as Leah's 8 heart event, the art show she planned (between 3pm and 5pm)
Thing is, I can not enter the town since it's being prepared for the festivities.

Any ideas on how to solve my problem?
Will the art show be postponed?

Is modifying save file an option? (perhaps reducing Leah's heart point value? idk, will she already be outside my house anyways?)

This is a fairly common issue with a couple of events that can "run into" eachother, such as marriage. Modifying the save file should fix it, but you'd need to know the specific event ID number to remove.

This thread seems to indicate that the event will show up on the next day, but I can't verify it through personal experience.

I know I've seen a few other threads on the topic, at least one of which included a fix via modifying the save file, but I'm having trouble pulling them up again.

Thanks, I will make a backup and play through 2 days (later today) to see if it's on the 28 and let you all know =p

update:

so I played the 27th (festival day)
and the 28th rolls in, a rainy day.
So I did the last chores left to do of fall then I go to town just before 3, I visit Penny in her house (rainy day) and I get two of the heart events before I can give her this week's first present.
As I was exiting the trailer, the event for Leah's art show starts up (yay!).

TL:DR
Leah's art show happened on the day after the festival, regardless of weather.

I do not know if this was because of postponing due to the event, or because the event will happen whenever you are in town between 3 and 5 after she invites you.
