its my first year and Winter hit what do you do just fishing and mining,
already arrived at the bottom of the mine, still have to look for the items for museum i know what else to do ????

Some ideas I used:

Upgrade your tools (or unlock quarry dungeon for the Golden scythe).
Stock up on wood/stone.
Forage and make jam/wine from crystalfruit.
Work on improving friendship with villagers.
Work towards Joja/community centre goals (especially the vault, which gives you access to Calico desert/Skull cavern).

unsure how winter is different from other months, you can still grow winter forage seeds.

but yeah prepare for spring, craft sprinklers and kegs and preserve jars and sheds.

if you have a greenhouse and fill it with starfruit you can make wine pretty profitably.

main issue is the lack of wood trees growing in winter so you'll want to get some woodchippers and use tree fertilizer on hardwood seeds

If you plan ahead you can easily get the greenhouse until 1st winter. Also you can get 2-3 coops/barns with animals if you plant as much as you can and invest the money in seeds. Positive side effect: when you plant so much you rarely habe time to go to the mine’s properly. Also in winter you can change your farm layout and farm materials for quality sprinklers to use in spring. Of course this is a more ambitious setup. Main thing is to have fun at the pace you personally like. Thats the magic of the game.
